Sperm Freezing
Is sperm freezing right for you?
Men choose to freeze their sperm for various reasons. You might consider sperm freezing if:
- You are not ready to have a baby but want to preserve your fertility.
- You have a health condition that may affect your fertility.
- You are undergoing medical treatment, such as chemotherapy, that may affect your fertility.

What is the sperm freezing process?
Sperm freezing involves 4 key steps:
Step 1
Consultation
A consultation session will be held with the doctor to review the process, address any concerns, and discuss what to expect.
Step 2
Testing
Blood tests are conducted to check for sexually transmitted diseases and infectious diseases, e.g., HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.
Step 3
Sperm collection
A sperm sample is collected
Step 4
Freezing the sperm
The sperm sample is frozen using a specialised process and stored in a liquid nitrogen storage tank.
